I hold a Master's degree in Marriage & Family Therapy. My undergraduate work was also done in an adjunct therapy major.

Additional training certificates from:

-The Center for Juvenile Justice Training and Research

  (Juvenile Court Judge's Commission/Shippensburg University)

  -Pennsylvania Certification Board

  -Pennsylvania Department of Health

-Lancaster County Assoc. of Chemical Dependency Professionals

-The Sexual Abuse Prevention and Education Network

-agency trainings on topics such as "Avoiding Power Struggles",

  and "Developmental Effects of Trauma".

My experience over the years has encompassed different agency settings including inpatient and outpatient drug and alcohol programs(individual, group and family therapy), relief work with special populations, therapeutic recreation, and individual, marital and family therapy in a pastoral care setting, and in private practice.

Currently in my private practice, I approach therapy from a generational and systems perspective, utilizing primarily Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques but also eclectically including pieces of Internal Family Systems, Contextual, Solution focused and Gottman. I try to include as many people in the process as possible and appropriate to promote long term healing.

Areas of therapy include individual, addiction, pre-engagement, premarital, couple's, intensive couple's, household/relative, and stage of life.
